Get up, stay on the scene, like a sax machine! Get ready for a great dose of suburban sax party, but more in the vein of Njurmännen than Ingmar Nordströms.
The hypnotic sax and synths duo Palm & Lundqvist has had two previous albums released on Djuring Phonogram, ”Remote Jazz” (2017) and ”Remote Bio-Exit Jazz” (2019). For their third effort percussionist Thomas Björklund joins the party, injecting a mellow but steady pulse throughout the four tracks that constitute ”Remote Exit”.
Side A consists of three atmospheric tracks reminiscent of an instrumental Legendary Pink Dots, but thing go really intergalactic on he flip side’s ”Frank’s Gogo”, a 20+ minutes long Berlin school journey that just keeps going, like some distant Swedish chill out cousin of Manuel Göttsching’s minimalistic masterpiece ”E2–E4”.
Lean back and let your mind, body and soul immerse themselves in some of the most wonderful electronic music to emanate from Uppsala since the heydays of Differnet.
